Atomos has been very busy lately, continuing to update their great line of products and releasing the long awaited Spyder color calibration tool.
Firstly, the Samurai Blade just received a firmware update, AtomOS 5.1. This update provides screen color adjustments of Gamma, Y Lift and Y Gain, C-Log color display, calibration Matrix and 1D LUTs, and more Battery Display Options with D-Tap Mode and AC.
The other bit of Atomos news is the release of their Spyder color calibrator, the firmware for which is supported by AtomOS 5.1. From Atomos: “Atomos Spyder color calibration support has been added to AtomOS 5.1. The Blade is the world’s first portable recorder to feature on-set screen colour calibration. Featuring calibration Matrix and 1D LUTs.”
