Atomos today announced a permanent price reduction on their widely popular Shinobi and Shinobi SDI 4K HDR Monitors. Effective immediately, the Shinobi monitor will now be available worldwide from €299/USD $299 (reduced from €399) with the Shinobi SDI reduced from €499/USD $499 to €429/USD $429.
“The Shinobi line has been our highest selling monitor ever, the volume into the booming social media video segment has been astounding. This has enabled us to increase volume production and as always, we pass on the cost savings to our loyal customers. $299 for the advanced 5” 4K HDR Shinobi continues Atomos’ drive to democratize cinematic style video production for the masses.” Said Jeromy Young, Atomos Co-founder and CEO.
Shinobi features a ‘run all day’ single battery, 1000nit high brightness screen, HDR capability and advanced functions that are easy to use. There’s even a new selfie Mirror Mode for vloggers and a new multi-tool Analysis View that’s a cinematographer’s dream.
Shinobi utilizes our revolutionary AtomOS 10 platform and is packed with an extensive suite of scopes and simple one-touch operations. Shinobi includes monitoring tools for focus, framing & exposure, including Focus Peaking, 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1 Zoom, Zebra, False Color, Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, a new multi-view ‘Analysis’ view and a flexible 3D and 1D LUT†, Profile and Preset support (upload .cube files via SD Card) and options for anamorphic desqueeze monitoring.
Apply and compare looks for post-production in SDR or HDR from your favorite LUTs for your camera. The Shinobi allows you to load up to eight custom LUTs at anytime via the SD Card Slot and instantly select between them, maintaining creative intent at all times.
Designed purely for monitoring purposes, Shinobi requires very low power in standby or monitoring modes. This translates to ‘all day run times’ of a single battery* and lasting endurance when you’re at the end of a shoot. Refer to specs for more information.
The price reduction will apply to all regions, giving Atomos customers instant access to savings on Shinobi and Shinobi SDI.
