Our sister site, Blackmagic Shooter, has a great story about the first feature film shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, ‘Hero Punk’. Written and directed by Kanen Flowers, Hero Punk is a sci-fi film with fantastic potential. Here’s more from Blackmagicshooter.com:
A little while back we talked about a great sci-fi film called ‘Hero Punk’ that was the first feature film shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. We recently spoke with the writer/director, Kanen Flowers, and learned of two more things: he’s even nicer in person than he is over the phone, and ‘Hero Punk’ just launched its Kickstarter campaign.
The film is a “dystopian, hard sci-fi superhero film” which also pulls traits from comics and graphic novels to tell a character driven, action packed story. This film is actually the first of a “Hero Punk” trilogy that they have envisioned, and they’re quite close to finishing the film as it is. They just need a little help, which is where Kickstarter comes in.
