Canon and two time Academy Award winning director Ron Howard have teamed up once again to bring you year two of the “Long Live Imagination” campaign. The “Long Live Imagination” campaign is a user generated contest where photographers of all levels submit photos that will inspire a Hollywood short film.
Year one of the campaign was very successful. More than 100,000 photos were submitted, and 8 were chosen. These 8 photos helped shape the show film “When You Find Me”, directed by Byrce Dallas Howard, Ron Howard’s daughter. The film, which was shot using Canon cameras, screened at South by Southwest, Sundance, and Tribeca film festivals. “When You Find Me” will premier on IFC Monday, May 21st at 8PM ET/PT.
The print campaign will launch on May 28th 2012. Details on the new consumer contest will be released in Summer 2012.
