Canon Wins Emmy Award!

Canon U.S.A. has announced that it will be receiving the Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for it’s “Improvements to Large Format CMOS Imagers for Use in High Definition Broadcast Video Cameras.”

In November 2011, Canon debut it’s large format CMOS image sensor on it’s C300 Digital Cinema Camera.  Through it’s advances, Canon is getting closer to achieving the “look and feel” of 35 mm motion picture film.  In the past year, Canon has released several large and full frame image cameras; the EOS C300 Digital Cinema Camera, the EOS C500 4K Digital Cinema Camera, EOS C100 Digital Video Camera, EOS-1D C 4K DSLR Cinema Camera and the EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera.
The Technology & Engineering Emmy Award will be presented on January 10th 2013, during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
