Though we always catch up with Marshall Electronics, we were surprised to see they had more than the usual monitors and microphones. Now they’ve added a mini camera to their line up, the CV500. So we stopped to speak with Marshall’s Bernie Keach for more.
The CV500 is an HD-SDI camera that shoots from 720 to 1080p, and there are multiple prime lenses available. There is even a cord for composite video out. Keach also notes that the CV500 is seeing a broad range of use, including sports, amusement park rides, B cameras on set and podcasting.
The CV500 costs about $500, with additional lenses sold separately.
