How To Make It In Film & Television With Jude Gerard Prest

While we attend many of the Industry Workshops regularly (and you should too, they’re great!) we got a special treat this time around, as we were able to interview speaker Jude Gerard Prest who presented “Concept to Completion – Pitch Materials”. We spoke with Prest about some tips for making it in the industry and his diverse and expansive career.

Jude Gerard Prest has Directed, Produced and Overseen hundreds of hours of broadcast, syndicated, cable and international programming.  Los Angeles based, Prest currently serves as the Showrunner, Co-Executive Producer and VP of Development and Production for a busy Austin, Texas media company – Full Throttle Marketing & Full Throttle Motion Pictures.  Prest has served as Executive Producer, Co-Executive Producer, Creator, Showrunner, Supervising Producer and Director and/or writer for a wide variety of series and specials for networks such as: ABC, Universal-NBC Sports, CBS, UPN, FOX, PBS, Discovery, National Geographic, A&E, The Travel Channel, Sony Pictures Television, SYFY, The History Channel, HGTV, Comedy Central, Fox, Animal Planet, VH1, Court TV, 20th Century Fox, Fox Movie Channel, international markets and more. He has Directed, Produced and served as showrunner for both scripted and non-scripted projects. Prest has overseen over 500 hours of programming on six continents in nearly 100 countries. Through his company, LifeLike Productions, Prest currently has a slate of TV and feature projects in development.  He has also worked extensively as a screen and stage actor, writer and voice-over actor.
