indiSYSTEM – New Rig & New Materials Make For New Experiences

indiSYSTEM has recently announced a couple of new things, chief among them being their new B-ROLL’r rig, as well as updating their current lines with high grade titanium.

The B-ROLL’r can fold down to a small 12″x6″ form.

Their new rig, the B-ROLL’r, is exactly what it sounds like: a B-roll camera rig. It’s interesting to see indiSYSTEM create a rig specifically for B-roll cameras (or any small form camera for that matter) due to the increasing demand for B-roll and behind the scenes footage. As indiSYSTEM states, “Why doesn’t every shooter carry a small camera with them at all times?”. Now you can do just that.

The B-ROLL’r weighs less than 2 pounds and can fold into a 12″ by 6″ form for easy storage, and it can be reconfigured easily to be used for “…shoulder mount or shotgun style shooting”. This makes it perfect for those who find their gear frequently weighs them down. There’s even a Tripod Mount accessory that lets you mount the B-ROLL’r to a fluid head. Finally, the B-ROLL’r is made of high grade titanium, making it lighter and sturdier than many other rigs on the market.

Speaking of titanium, indiSYSTEM will be manufacturing all of their rigs and updating their entire lineup (including the ULTRAcompactAreebaBulldog, and in-diRAILSpro XVsm) with the lightweight metal. “Titanium is lighter than aluminum, yet many times stronger than steel. As light as carbon fiber, but will not scratch, mar, or distort with age”. They also make mention that acid, salt water, and extreme hot and cold have no effect on titanium, making their rigs the perfect solution for the rugged videographers out there.

All of indiSYSTEMS rigs will now be made with titanium, including the ULTRAcompact, Areeba, Bulldog, and in-diRAILSpro XVsm

The B-ROLL’r rig is priced at $179, and its aforementioned tripod mount accessory is $19. indiSYSTEM’s other rigs, now made in heavy duty titanium, begin at $249. As indiSYSTEM says, “As you would expect from indiSYSTEM, the gear does not cost more than the camera!”
