HDSLR Shooter Becomes Indie Shooter

There are some exciting changes coming to the new as we transition not just in name, but in bringing a wider array of content and coverage.

For the past seven years HDSLR Shooter has covered a wide range of camera types beyond just DSLRs. This ongoing shift was reflective of our industry as a whole, as DSLRs simply became a common aspect of filmmaking. Over the past several years we’ve attempted to cover more than just cameras and gear (as important as they are) and widen our coverage to include pre and post production as well. This has led to a widening of our audience, with a sweet spot resting on independent filmmaking. To that end, the name Indie Shooter is much more applicable and much less confining then our previous moniker.
So, what does this mean for you, our audience? Well, several improvements and changes to our coverage:

  • Live coverage of events
  • New weekly podcast
  • New film contest – details coming soon
  • Expanded range of coverage
  • And more!

We’ll be rolling out all these changes and more over the next few weeks, so be sure to stay tuned to the new starting this Monday.
