Matthews Studio Equipment is known the world over for their C-Stands, however they have quite the line of other camera support gear as well. Among their list of many new products released at NAB were improvements to the popular FloatCam DC Slider. Between linear motion control, a follow focus/zoom control, and a wireless pan/tilt head, Matthews has provided a “5 access motion control suite” for motion control. We stopped to speak with MSE’s Tyler Phillips for more.
Linear motion control allows you take complete control of the DC Slider’s movements by programming its movement to your liking. With all the other components combined, such as the pan/tilt head and follow focus/zoom control, you gain complete control over your entire recording setup.
The entire set (the DC Slider, linear motion control, a follow focus/zoom control, and a wireless pan/tilt head) costs $15,000, though you can buy the pieces separately as well. For more information be sure to check out our interview above, as well as visit www.MSEgrip.com
