NAB 2015: ARRI's "Versatile Documentary Style" AMIRA – Video

The ARRI AMIRA has been popular for some time now, so we made sure to stop by the ARRI booth at this year’s NAB to speak with ARRI’s Snehal Patel on his own “favorite camera”.

ARRI’s “versatile documentary style camera” is made for single operator use, esepecially when mounted on the sholdur. It has the same 35mm sensor as the ALEXA, and records up to ProRes 422 onto two CFast 2.0 cards. The AMIRA also has 14 stops of dynamic range, and can even shoot up to 4K at 3840×2160. Finally, the AMIRA possesses a number of additional in-camera features, such as preloaded 3D LUTs and 100fps slow motion capture.
Tha AMIRA is currently shipping, starting at $40,000, and can be purchased from ARRI’s extensive dealer chain.
