Red Giant has wowed the world with their post production products for years now, with every update bringing a slew of new features and apps. The recent release of their new Magic Bullet Suite is no exception, bringing new features to older apps and showcasing a couple new ones. We stopped to talk with Red Giant’s Aharon Rabinowitz about this new suite of post tools at NAB, including the new Magic Bullet Film that transforms the look of your digital footage by “emulating the entire photochemical process.”
Magic Bullet Suite 12 includes seven products, five of which are new: Magic Bullet Looks 3.0, Colorista III, Mojo 2, Cosmo 2 , and the all-new Magic Bullet Film. Magic Bullet Suite also includes Denoiser II and LUT Buddy. The five new tools run on the GPU, making it possible to get real time color grading directly on your editing timeline, in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, FCPX, and more.
This is an entirely new product that gives your digital footage the look of real film by emulating the entire photochemical process – from the original film negative, to color grading, and finally to the print stock. Magic Bullet Film includes 22 negative stocks and 4 print stocks, giving you 88 possible cinematic combinations.
Mojo has been rebuilt from scratch and now runs on the GPU. Mojo was already fast, but Mojo 2.0 is the fastest way to get Hollywood’s most popular film look.
Cosmo has been rebuilt from scratch and now runs on the GPU. This update also includes new host application support – Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects are now joined by FCPX, Motion, and Sony Vegas Pro.
Red Giant offers all of their products as free trials for you to test to the fullest extent. Existing owners of Magic Bullet Suite can upgrade to version 12 for $199. For those not already using Magic Bullet, you can grab the entire powerful tool set for $799.
