Band Pro recently announced their partnership with Whitepoint Optics, offering a series of full frame lenses with a great vintage look and tilt-swing functionality. We stopped to speak with Band Pro’s Randy Wedick for more at this year’s NAB 2018.
Re-engineered from older, medium format Hassleblad lenses, Whitepoint Optics has launched a lens line with Band Pro that offers 30mm, 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, 100mm and 120mm focal lengths. This series of lenses caters to large and full format cameras such as the Arri Alexa 65, Red Vista Vision, Sony Venice and more. Each lens covers a sensor up to 82mm and features swappable E, EF, and PL lens mounts. Their Tilt-Swing functionality allows for 9 degrees of tilt, with consistent front diameter and gearing. Whitepoint lenses are perfectly suited to those looking for a vintage look. For example, the new movie “Come Sunday” which chronicles the events of Pastor Carlton Pearson’s life, used Whitepoint lenses.
