This will be “boots on the ground” education, putting the tools of the trade into your hands, and placing you in real world situations while seasoned professionals guide you from their decades of experience.

Hurlbut Visuals strives to bring the tradition of mentorship back to our industry and provide education to filmmakers around the world. Starting with a blog in 2009, then opening the membership site Shane’s Inner Circle in 2014, to now offering hands on, one on one training, Hurlbut Visuals continues its dedication to empowering and improving the lives of up and coming filmmakers around the globe.

The November Cinematic Storytelling Workshop is the first large scale workshop Shane has held since his highly popular Illumination Tour in ‘14 due to his schedule on feature films. This is a rare opportunity with limited spots.

Anyone from your community that signs up for the workshop will receive a complimentary year of Shane’s Inner Circle membership when they contact f or their exclusive access.

Quotes from Shane:

“…Years ago I started on this mission of sharing. I felt like mentoring was dead in this business. I wanted to educate and inspire, and use the passion for what I love to do to energize and fuel the content creation revolution that was brought about by the RED, and the Canon 5D Mark II.” – Shane Hurlbut, ASC

“… That’s what the whole creation process is all about: it’s challenging the attendees, not just talking at them.” – Shane Hurlbut, ASC

“The intent is to elevate your knowledge base and creative ingenuity. We all must continue to challenge ourselves to achieve, to push beyond what we consider our comfort zone. I have built my career on achieving artistic mastery and I want to provide you with a technical foundation and creative perspective for doing the same thing.” – Shane Hurlbut, ASC
