Cinegear 2014: Need Help With Zoom? Redrock Micro Has You Covered

Redrock Micro’s “fingerwheel” controller provides a full 270 degrees of rotation (with built-in hard stops), delivers precise, accurate focus pulls.  The one thing the fingerwheel cannot provide is zoom, but Redrock Micro has a new to assist with zoom.

Redrock Micro’s Brian Valente mentions that between their microRemote and its Fingerwheel accessory, they’ve tried to give a sort of all in one solution to filmmakers that allows them to control the camera potentially by themselves. The new zoom controllers are another step in that direction, allowing you to control your camera’s zoom with only your thumb. The accessory is in the early stages of development as of now, with price, release date and more info still up in the air. However Valente notes that the zoom controller will cost significantly less than similar products on the market, making it affordable to the independent shooter.

As always, head over to RedrockMicro.com to keep a look out for future updates.
