Entertainment Technology Expo 2013: Canon’s C100 Sensor Upgrade

During the Entertainment Technology Expo we were able to meet with one company that’s been quite busy lately: Canon. After a week of upgrades and updates we were able to hear more directly from Canon themselves about all they’ve been up to.

Canon’s Paul McAniff was gracious enough to spend a few minutes with us to discuss all the new updates we touched on this week, such as the C100 dual pixel upgrade, and the firmware updates for the 5D Mark III, EOS-1D C and EOS-1D X. McAniff also talks about the response to the 70D, Canon’s surprising new DSLR, and how you can go about maximizing its auto focus.

Firmware upgrades are also on the way for the C100, C300, and C500. These will result in enhanced control features and ISO upgrades for the C100 and C300, and expanded color space for the C500, as well as many other features.

To get the full spectrum of Canon’s upcoming changes, be sure to check out the video above, as well as their website usa.canon.com
