J.L. Fisher (with support from the Society of Camera Operators, International Cinematographers Guild and the American Society of Cinematographers) is holding its 9th annual Open House and BBQ this Saturday, May 16th. The free event will feature a Moving Camera Seminar from the SOC, a raffle for the Children’s Vision Center and more.
The open house takes place at J.L. Fisher’s offices in Burbank, and will features numerous exhibitors such as Sony, ARRI, Tiffen, Filmtools, Abel Cine and many, many more.
There will also be a number of events throughout the day, such as a camera seminar from the SOC, as well as their raffle for the Children’s Vision Center and more:

The SOC Moving Camera Seminar – 10:30am- 12:00pm
Presented by members of the SOC, Local 600, (Camera Guild) and Local 80 (Grips). The seminar will focus on the working relationships between the Cinematographer, Camera Operator, 1st AC, Key Grip and Dolly Grip when using Dollies and Jib Arms. Moderator Hugh Litfin, SOC.
SOC Raffle Support the Children’s Vision Center 2:15PM
Please join the SOC with their ongoing support of The Vision Center at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Their charitable efforts have helped with the vital work of helping children with impaired eyesight. Please help by purchasing a raffle ticket at the SOC booth
