When we visited Marshall USA at the Next Video Expo, Bernie Keach showed us their updated CV-500MB mini camera, as well as their rack mounted displays.
Marshall Electronics’ recently released CV500-MB shoots in 1080i or 720i, with broadcast standard connections that let you connect it with your switcher and the rest of your broadcast setup. Marshall also carries a series of 2.4-10mm Prime lenses for the mini camera that are are wide angle lenses with a 70 degree viewing angle. The CV500-MB has BNC connectors for use with external recorders, and it draws power from either a 12 volt DC battery or AC adapter. The dynamic range is particularly powerful, with a new Panasonic CMOS sensor powering the mini cam. The CV500-MB is seeing a wide variety of uses, from Hollywood green rooms, broadcast news and churches.
The CV500-MB is available through Marshall Electronic’s dealer chain for about $449, though prices may vary depending on the retailer.
Bernie also showed us their M-LYNX-702 rack mounted display:
This dual 7″ 1024×600 display has two separate panels, each with numerous HD-SDI and composite inputs. Bernie Keach describes it as a “swiss army knife” of a dual rack display.
The M-LYNX-702 is available from Marshall’s dealer chain for about $690.
