Panasonic has released a minor patch for the EVA1 in update 3.01 to correct a small issue with recording in the “1080/59i” format.
From the patch notes:
AU-EVA1 Version 3.01
There is a defect by which the same field image is recorded twice when you use the “1080/59i” format.
Please download the firmware file from above and update the firmware of your AU-EVA1 to the latest version 3.01. There is no problem with other functions or the previous firmware (version 2.53 or earlier)
