Panavision Buys Out Post House Light Iron

In a time where we’re seeing many companies expanding outside of their usual focus, Panavision continues the trend by purchasing Light Iron, “a post production company that specializes in on-site dailies, digital intermediate, archival, and data services for projects originated on file-based motion cameras.”
A departure from Panavision’s previous experience as a camera and camera support manufacturer, Light Iron will give Panavision the opportunity to cover the totality of the post production world as well. Under this acquisition, Light Iron will fucntion as a subsidiary of Panavision and continue to offer their same line of services. This means Light Iron’s popular OUTPOST mobile post system will still be available, only now they’ll be available to rent from the many Panavision rental houses around the world as well.
