Shutterstock's Pixels Of Fury Competition Takes To The Skies On August 6th

Pixels Of Fury, Shutterstock’s live stock photo and video editing showdown, is next Thursday August 6th, taking editors into the wild blue yonder.

Pixels Of Fury will go down at the L.A. nightclub Greystone Manor, 643 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069 from 7 to 10 pm, Thursday August 6th. This year’s challenge has video editors editing stock footage to create a 30-second commercial for a fiction airline in just 30 minutes. If you weren’t able to attend last year’s event, you can check out our coverage of the fairy tale movie challenge below for an idea of what to expect.
It looks as though Shutterstock may still be trying to find this year’s contestants, as there is a ‘Nominate’ button where you can sign up yourself or nominate someone else to compete. The winner of Pixels Of Fury gets:

  • The Furious Pixel Trophy
  • A $500 Amex gift card
  • This year’s bragging rights
  • Vimeo PRO Account
  • Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 12

Here’s a bit more from Shutterstock:
If you could create a commercial in the style of any genre, would you choose horror, western, fantasy, or something else entirely?
And, to take it a step further, what if you had to make that commercial in front of a live audience that would judge your work and choose their favorite on the spot?
That’s what you can expect on August 6, as Pixels of Fury touches down in Los Angeles for a heated competition that will challenge both contestants and viewers to think outside the box. The event will take place at Greystone Manor, and contestants will have an hour and a half to create a 30-second commercial for a fictional airline.
So be sure to sign up or RSVP at  and visit for more on the event in general.
