We’ve talked a bit about how Blackmagic Design’s cameras have seen more and more use in the world of commercial spots, film and more. This time however we turn to DaVinci Resolve and its expanded use in some of the summer’s hottest films, including “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”, “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and more.
Company 3’s, “a Deluxe Creative Services company with facilities throughout the globe” used DaVinci Resolve to grade both of the above, with colorist Shane Harris grading Planet of The Apes and Stephen Nakamura grading X-Men. New York Based Color Collective colorist Alex Bickel did the same for “Land Ho!,” “Night Moves” and “Ping Pong Summer.”
