That's No Tablet…It's The New SmallHD DP7-PRO!

SmallHD’s new DP7-PRO field monitor takes cues more from modern day tablets than its own previous field monitors, and if all is as it seems in their videos, looks to be an absolutely stunning piece of gear.

The DP7-PRO measures up at 7.7″, weighs in at 1.2 pounds, and produces a 1280×800 resolution. The DP7-PRO touts a touch screen interface, accelerated signal sync time, faster wireless HD support with additional accessory, color filter quick toggle menu, and easy firmware updating. With only two corner dials to edit numerical adjustments, the DP7-PRO features “an intuitive smart key menu system” that pops up on screen whenever your hand gets close enough.
This pop up menu displays 24 customizable “smart keys” that you can map your most used functions to for easy access. This level of customization is unprecedented and eliminates that common feeling of “Gee, I wish this function was easier to access.” Plus, after tweaking and fixing settings to your exact specifications (a shared pastime for us all I imagine) you can lock the setting in with a small switch on top of the monitor, or save them to an SD card for use with any other DP7-PRO.
There will be several models of the DP7-PRO available, however only the OLED version are availible right now for $2,699. You can find out lots more information about SmallHD’s new DP7-PRO, including in depth demo videos, at
